IN DEVELOPMENT

Babies Behind Bars is a feature-length documentary about the first group of expectant mothers to participate in an innovative pilot program – a prison nursery – where newborn babies live with their incarcerated mothers while they serve time in prison. Scheduled to open in Fall, 2007 at the Center for Incarcerated Women (CIW) in Corona, California, the new prison nursery is the first of its kind in California, and one of only four long-term prison nurseries in the nation.
